It is important for students to know what their costs will be so they can make plans to pay for their education. Information regarding cost estimates and payments can be found at www.NDSCS.edu/paying-for-college or by contacting NDSCS Business Affairs.
Financial Aid includes a mix of resources that help students and their families pay for college. Figuring out how to pay will look different for every student. All students should have a realistic understanding of the costs and financial aid options.
There are several types and sources of financial aid, including grants, loans, scholarships and employment. Financial aid offers can include a combination of the various types of aid. Students attending NDSCS must apply for admission to be considered for financial aid.
Federal financial aid serves as the primary source of funding for students. To qualify for this assistance, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually, available online at StudentAid.gov. To be considered for the maximum number of financial aid sources, the FAFSA should be submitted by April 1 to meet the priority deadline date of April 15.
