Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 provides: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
In accordance with Title IX, NDSCS does not tolerate sex or gender discrimination, including sexual misconduct such as sexual harassment and sexual assault, stalking, and intimate partner violence in NDSCS’s education program and activities. Also prohibited under Title IX is any rule violated on the basis of the recipient of the behavior’s sex and/or gender, which is severe enough to cause discriminatory effect.
