The Pre-Health Professions Transfer plan is designed for students who intend to attend health professional schools, such as chiropractic, dentistry, medicine, optometry, podiatry, physician assistant or veterinary medicine. Most health professional schools require a bachelor's degree. While there is no specific major requirement, students often pursue degrees in the sciences, such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or microbiology. !n addition to academic preparedness, health professional schools prioritize individuals who exhibit a well-rounded profile through active participation in extracurricular activities. leadership roles, and clinical experiences.

Students entering the Pre-Health Professions Transfer curriculum plan who do not have the proper prerequisites may need additional preparatory classes.

This plan provides preparation for the professional curriculum and meets the Liberal Arts Program Purposes listed in the NDSCS Catalog.
