Principles of American government, political behavior, institutions. A general survey of American federal government and politics with an emphasis on the history and development of the federal Constitution and the federal system. The legislative, judicial and executive branches of government and their interrelationship with each other and the bureaucracy are examined. The administration of territories, the two-party system, the media and current political issues and problems also are explored. (F, S) ND:SS
