This course is a one-semester course designed to be an introduction to organic chemistry and biochemistry. The course topics include alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatics, alcohols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, esters, amines, amides, carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, nucleic acids, enzymes and metabolism.
