WELD 201: Welding Theory III

This course will provide the student with technical understanding in advanced welding theory which includes the study of electricity for the different welding and cutting processes. It will provide the student with a theoretical understanding of welding and cutting processes when using mechanical and computer controlled (CNC) equipment. It will provide the student with theory for writing Numerical Control (NC) programming. The course will also provide the student with theory on metallurgy pertaining to welding and cutting. A student portfolio will be designed. Prerequisite: WELD 152. Co-requisite: WELD 211. (F)
