The Nursing Assistant certificate of completion program at NDSCS prepares individuals to provide essential care and support to patients in a variety of healthcare settings. CNAs play a critical role on the healthcare team, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring comfort and safety under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

This program is designed to meet state and federal requirements for CNA certification and equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to sit for the CNA certification exam. Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and other healthcare environments.

The Nursing Assistant certificate of completion can serve as a standalone credential for entry into the healthcare field or as a stack-able credential for individuals pursuing further education and career advancement in nursing or other allied health professions. 

Due to the versatility of the CNA role, certified nursing assistants are in demand across a wide range of healthcare settings, including local and regional hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and public health organizations. NOTE: This program requires access a personal laptop and printer, capable of completing the assignments/testing required by the program, with a current operating system and webcam/microphone.

Award:
Upon successful completion of the required courses, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in Nursing Assistant.
