Students are expected to establish an early record of attendance and participation in all courses. Those who fail to do so within the published time-frame may be cancelled from the course by Student Success at the instructor’s request. Cancellations and non-attendance may carry financial and academic consequences.
Students who stop attending after establishing attendance risk receiving a failing grade or being dropped by the instructor. To avoid penalties, students must formally withdraw before the published drop deadline through Campus Connection. A complete withdrawal requires submission of the Cancel/Withdraw to Zero form. Failure to properly withdraw may result in financial liability, loss of eligibility for activities, and poor academic standing.
For deadlines, refund details, and transcript implications, students should carefully review the Drop/Refund Schedule at ndscs.edu/refunds.
