REFG 134 will be a 1-hour long hybrid lecture with in-person labs. Some of the time will be spent reading assigned text, completing learning modules and using academic course materials. The rest of the time will be spent completing assigned coursework. Time may be spent in lab to practice and demonstrate high-quality soldering and brazing skills. Students will learn metal preparation, how to purge with nitrogen, leak test and install pipes for refrigeration systems. Students will be required to work in a safe manner in the lab.
