REFG 131: Refrigerant Handling and Certification

REFG 131 will be a 1-hour long hybrid lecture with in-person labs. Some of the time will be spent reading assigned text, completing learning modules and using academic course materials. The rest of the time will be spent completing assigned coursework. Time may be spent in lab to demonstrate knowledge of refrigerant handling practices, as well as utilizing refrigerant gauges and refrigerant recovery equipment in a manner that aligns with EPA regulations. This course will introduce the students to necessary safety protocols to be used with common equipment and tools associated with refrigerants.
